What makes a room Scanditalia

The sofa curves and wears terracotta or ochre boucle, the single saturated note in a palette of oat, walnut, and warm white. Travertine replaces birch; a glossy enamel floor lamp in a confident modern shape replaces the paper shade. A flatweave rug stays quiet underfoot, a stack of design books and one glazed bowl style the table, and that is all the room needs. It is restraint with a pulse: precise, sunny, and far warmer than its tidiness suggests.
